I'm looking to expand my collection of joinery planes and I'd appreciate some advice. Right now, I'm using a left-handed Veritas small plow plane and a left-handed skew rabbet, both of which work great for me. However, I'm really interested in the feel and feedback that wooden planes provide. Since I'm left-handed and have gotten my workflow set up with the Veritas planes, I'd like to keep it that way instead of starting fresh. I'm planning on gradually adding fixed skew rabbets to my toolkit, which means this could end up being a pretty big investment. My knowledge about wooden plane makers is pretty limited, though. I've checked out some older planes on eBay but haven't had much luck finding left-handed options. Who are the best makers for quality wooden joinery planes that cater to left-handed woodworkers? Thanks for your help!

Definitely check out E.C.E. Planes! As a fellow lefty, I can tell you that they're known for having left-handed options in their lineup. I've used their right-handed planes and found them to be excellent, so their lefties should be great too!
While I know you're focusing on left-handed planes, I suggest considering ambidextrous techniques too. I'm a lefty with a collection of HNT Gordon tools, and their designs allow for flexibility no matter how you grip it. Invest in some good all-around planes for different tasks—sometimes adaptability is the key!
That's an interesting perspective! I appreciate the advice. I’d still prefer to stick with left-handed planes to maintain consistency, but I'll keep adaptability in mind!
Have you thought about Voigt planes or Philly Planes? They’ve received good reviews from left-handed users. It's great to finally see more options for left-handed woodworkers out there!
I'll check those out, thanks a lot!

Thank you for the recommendation! I'll look into E.C.E. for sure.
