What are the best low-light plants for my dark apartment?

I'm living in an apartment that feels more like a dungeon due to the lack of natural light. It's ground-level, surrounded by trees and buildings, and pretty much all my windows face other apartments. Although I have one east-facing and two west-facing windows, the trees block most of my afternoon sunlight. I currently have an Aspidistra and a Dracaena, which are doing fine, but I really want to add more plants. I've tried keeping Zanzibar Gems, but they haven't thrived for me. Any suggestions for low-light plants that can handle these conditions without needing a ton of grow lights?

Have you thought about Marimos? They’re really cool, and they thrive even in low light since they just hang out at the bottom of a lake. Plus, they don’t like direct sunlight. You can keep them in a cute little vase or something. I've kept mine for over 15 years, and they even produce little babies! Super easy to care for too.

ZZ plants are a great choice for low light! They might not grow super fast in those conditions, but they can definitely survive. They’re pretty forgiving, so you might be able to add those to your collection without a problem.

You know, plant lights aren't so bad! I found some cute ones on Amazon that look like tiny beach umbrellas. They even have built-in timers and are pretty discreet. They could be a solid option if you want to give your plants a little boost without the hassle of huge lights.
