I'm in the process of designing a credenza/bar for my dining room and found a piece that closely matches my vision, made from solid dovetailed wood. I want to use a different material for the top that can withstand glasses and spills without being shiny or dull epoxy. We already have ash floors, a hard maple dining table, and walnut chairs, so I don't want to add more wood. I'm considering options like furniture linoleum, felt, large format ceramic tile, or maybe something else entirely. What should I go with?

Have you thought about using quartz or granite? They’re super durable and would handle spills well. Concrete is another option, but it might need a little extra work to get it to look good. Just a thought!

That's interesting! Have you worked with concrete before? I'm curious about how it turns out.
