I'm looking to grow peaches on my property in Nebraska, but I know they can be tricky to cultivate here due to the climate. Can anyone suggest the best varieties that are known for their cold hardiness?

If you're adamant about growing peaches, go for the hardier varieties like Reliance and Contender. They seem to perform well even in Wisconsin, so you might have a good shot in Nebraska too. Remember, though, that there will still be challenges, so be prepared for some trial and error!

Thanks for the advice! I’ll check out those varieties and see if I can get my hands on them.

Honestly, I’ve heard that the Reliance and Contender varieties work well in colder areas like Nebraska. Both are known to be quite hardy and can handle colder temperatures. Reliance is hardy up to Zone 4, while Contender can handle up to Zone 4-5, making them solid picks for your area.

While peaches can be challenging, there are definitely some options! I found a few varieties that might suit your needs:

1. Reliance - Hardy to Zone 4
2. Contender - Hardy to Zone 4-5
3. Polly - Hardy to Zone 5
4. Madison - Hardy to Zone 5

So, you’ve got some good choices to consider!
