What are the best plants to thrive in a shower?

I'm looking to add some plants to my shower for a touch of greenery! I'm curious about which plants others have had the most success with in that humid environment. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Honestly, pothos is a must-have! I've had a Boston fern in my shower that thrived, but I moved it to make room for an anthurium i’m hoping to get soon. Right now, I’ve also got an anthurium wendlingeri in there, and it seems to be doing well. I just added a few alocasias too, but it’s still early to tell how they're faring.

By the way, I've got some pothos varieties like neons and pearls and jade that just exploded with growth in hangers on my shower pole—definitely a game changer!

Totally agree about pothos! I've noticed they grow so much bigger when I keep them in the shower compared to other spots.

If you have enough light in your shower, like a window or waterproof grow light, there are many options! Pothos can look amazing trailing down the walls or ceiling. Just keep in mind that the water from your shower shouldn’t directly hit the soil, so consider using water instead of soil if space is an issue.

Ferns are a solid choice—just make sure your bathroom has a window since they love humidity! They really thrive in that type of environment.
