I'm interested in getting into woodworking but I'm not sure where to start. I'm looking for recommendations on classes, YouTube channels, or books that provide a structured approach to learning this craft. Ideally, I want something that begins with the basics and gradually progresses to more advanced projects. I've watched various videos, but they seem scattered and unorganized. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

A good starting point is to first decide what you want to create. Woodworking is a broad field, so whether you're into making custom cabinets or simple hand-carved spoons, the approach varies. You might feel overwhelmed by all the options, but just pick a project, start it and finish it. Even if it doesn't turn out perfect, creating something is a win!
Set up accounts on platforms like Instructables and Pinterest to save and follow projects that inspire you. YouTube has tons of free resources too! Websites like WoodworkersWorkshop and freewoodworkingplan.com offer many free plans and tutorials to get you going!
You should check out Steve Ramsey; he has a fantastic YouTube channel that covers power tools really well. For hand tools, Paul Sellers is an excellent resource. Also, look into local classes at places like Rockler or Woodcraft, or even see if there’s a maker space nearby. Online, check out Planewellness.org, where I actually teach!
