Hey everyone! I'm looking to buy a new reverse osmosis system, but I need some recommendations. My last one was a total letdown - it was slow, needed constant filter changes, leaked like crazy, and the water didn't taste great. I don't want to spend a fortune, aiming for around $300 to $400. I want something that is reliable, has good taste, and requires less maintenance. I've seen some good chatter about APEC and iSpring, but I'd love to hear more about actual experiences and whether it's worth investing in a quality system or if I should just stick to bottled water. We’ve been using Waterdrop for a while now, and it’s been fantastic! It’s installed under the sink with a nice spout on the counter, and everyone in the house loves it. Definitely worth considering!
I've had an APEC ROES-50 for about 8 years without any issues. I replace the first three filters once a year, and the last two every three years. They also offer an option to add minerals back into the water, which is a cool feature!

Honestly, a lot of these systems are similar. Check the filter efficiency for both capacity and waste, as that could address the slow water dispensing issue. Sometimes, it can be just the tank needing a little pump-up of air. Plus, many use standard filter sizes, so you can get generic replacements easily. Just keep an eye on the fittings to avoid leaks!
