I've been using bamboo canes and string to support my peonies, which grow along a north-facing wall and are now loaded with flowers. However, I decided to try some wire arch supports this year because I thought traditional baskets wouldn't fit in my narrow border. The supports I bought are only 60cm tall, and after some rain, the flowers are flopping over and even breaking against them. I'm wondering if there's a way to get wire supports that are about 1m high, or if I should consider building something myself to help support these beautiful blooms better.

I use hazel or birch branches that I harvest in autumn. I stick one branch on either side of the plant, and if you put them in early enough, the peonies will hide them completely. Plus, it’s a free option, which is always a win!
I once made a support ring for my rudbeckia using bamboo and garden wire. Maybe you could do something similar for your peonies? That way, you can customize the height as long as you have tall bamboo.
I bought some steel plant supports from Agriframes—they have a variety of sizes and shapes. I also tried making some from willow or hazel, but I think my technique needs work! If you're picky about height, I recommend going for something customizable.
