I'm diving into the world of woodcarving with a focus on pipe making. I've got some beautiful black walnut pieces to work with. So far, I have a chopsaw and a drill press, but I'm missing a bandsaw and belt sander, which means I'll need to do a lot of the shaping by hand. Can anyone suggest a solid entry-level wood carving kit that's budget-friendly since this is my first time trying it?

For a starter kit, I definitely recommend checking out the Flexcut whittlin' Jack knife. It's super handy and gives you a lot of control when shaping wood.

Thanks! I’ll look into that.
