Hey everyone! I need some advice on tackling a huge patch of pea gravel in my backyard that's turned into a jungle of weeds over the past couple of weeks. I'm thinking of using a rake to pull out the weeds I can, maybe even pulling some by hand. I'm also considering spraying a pre-emergent herbicide afterward. I'm in zone 8b, and it's still pretty wet here, but I'm a bit hesitant about using burning methods. Any tips or tricks you can share?

Honestly, your main options are fire or herbicides. Just weigh the pros and cons of each and go with what you're most comfortable with.
Have you thought about using a propane weed burner? Just make sure to have a hose and fire extinguisher handy, just in case you're worried! After burning, you can rake over the area to clean it up. Sounds scary, but it’s super efficient!
I've had great luck with Grass B Gon for gravel areas. Roundup works too, but I usually stick to more natural methods. You could also try boiling water, salt water, or vinegar as alternatives. Just be cautious with chemicals; they can be effective, but should be used sparingly.

That does sound like a fast approach! After burning, do you really just rake it all back to normal? I’m a little nervous about the whole fire thing.
