I'm looking to create some high-quality box joints for my woodworking projects, but I don't have a dado blade. What methods do you all suggest for achieving great results? I'm open to both power tools and hand tools!

You can definitely use a miter jig or a crosscut sled for a lot of cuts. Two edge cuts and then chisel out the waste works too. If you have a router, a router jig specifically for box joints can save you time and effort!

Honestly, if you're up for it, hand tools can do the trick. Using a marking knife, dovetail saw, and a chisel can give you pretty good box joints. It might take some practice, but it's quite rewarding to get them right without the fuss of machinery.

Yeah, practice makes perfect! I struggled at first, but now I find hand-cutting box joints surprisingly enjoyable.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely give the hand tools a try!

A router with a templating bit is super effective! Just make sure to set it up correctly to get precise finger joints. You can also find tutorials online to guide you.
