I've let my weed problem get out of hand, and now I've got a bunch of alchemilla molis plants thriving in the cracks of my front steps. They're becoming quite a nuisance, and their tough roots are making them hard to remove. So far, I've only tried decapitating them with a hoe and using a sharp trowel, but that hasn't worked well. I'm hesitant to use weed killer but might consider it as a last resort. I know I should also repair the steps eventually, but that's a project for another day.

Hey! If you're dealing with pavement, try using salt. It really helps to prevent anything from growing back in those cracks! Just be careful not to let it touch nearby plants you want to keep.
I hear you on that! A good weed burner could be your best bet for those tough cracks. It works wonders for taking out stubborn weeds without much effort.
Honestly, you might want to consider glyphosate if you're okay with using a weed killer. I know it's a tough choice, but it can really help reduce that weed population effectively!
