Hey everyone! I recently watched a video where a guy was polishing his woodworking project with these cool polishing pads instead of traditional sandpaper. He mentioned that they didn't gum up and could be rinsed off with mineral spirits to be reused. Unfortunately, he didn't name any specific products! Does anyone know what these pads are, where to buy them, or have any links to share?

You might want to check out ScotchBrite pads; they’re pretty popular for this kind of work. There are also similar products made by Norton. These are often referred to as 'Nyweb pads' since they're made of a non-woven material infused with abrasive grit. They come in different colors based on the grit, with white being the gentlest.
If you're looking for something a bit more advanced, consider diamond polishing pads. They can attach to a rubber block and be used with a drill or angle grinder. They’re mostly used for polishing surfaces like granite or quartz, but they might work for your project too! Here's a link to one on Amazon: [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XYYP4XV](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XYYP4XV).
I found some inexpensive foam-backed sanding pads on eBay that work great! They’re washable like sponges—just wring them out, and they’re good as new. The grit ratings might not be spot on, but I got a whole set from 80 to 2000 grit for about five pounds. Definitely check out AliExpress for similar deals!

I really like using them for applying wax finishes or for scuffing between coats. They work wonders!
