What Are These Vibrant Pink Petunias I Keep Seeing?

I've noticed these bright pink petunias everywhere, especially in parks and around businesses. They always look so full and lively. Is there a specific variety that makes them stand out, or is it just that I'm not seeing all the deadheading that must be happening?

Some petunias are actually sterile, so they don’t require any deadheading at all! Just a neat fact if you want low-maintenance blooms.

That's really interesting, I had no idea! I’ll have to find out more about these.

Could they be Impatiens? Just a guess, but they could be worth looking into.

Not sure if it’s the right flower, but I'll give them a try next year!

I think the ones you're seeing might be called Purple Velvet F1. I grew some this year, and they're hands down the best petunias I've ever had! They've been blooming all summer long without looking scraggly at all, and I haven't even deadheaded them once!

I'll definitely check those out!
