I recently installed an outlet cover, but I ran into an issue. The mount I used was older and didn't have drywall directly behind it—there was only drywall on both sides, about 1.5 inches off center. I've seen this really cool wide metal clip that rotates and secures into the drywall, allowing you to get a solid hold as you screw it down. It's similar to a toggle bolt anchor, but it doesn't spring out and is much wider. I'm trying to track down what these are called because I can't seem to find them anywhere!

Sounds like you're looking for what's called an 'old work box'! You might want to search using the term 'ears' since that's often associated with those clips. Check out this link for some options: [Old Work Box Example](https://www.homedepot.com/p/Carlon-1-Gang-20-cu-in-PVC-Old-Work-Electrical-Switch-and-Outlet-Box-B120R/202077323). It's not exactly the box you mentioned, but it includes that rotating clip you're referring to!

Yeah, I see what you mean! It's the clip I'm after, not the box itself. Thanks for the lead!
