I have a small garden in zone 5b and I'm thinking about planting some spinach. What fall seeds are you all planning to put in the ground?

I already started my fall brassicas a couple of weeks ago. I like getting them in early to beat the light, so I’ve got broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and kale going. I also threw in beets and chard too!

I usually plant Japanese red mustard and a few types of Asian turnips every fall. I'm also adding peas, kale, daikon, spinach, lettuce, cabbage, and I keep sowing beets and carrots throughout the summer.

Hakurei turnips are the best! I plant those every fall. I'm also keen on daikon, but I won’t start anything concrete just yet since it’s a bit early for me in NE Texas.

I just pulled out my pumpkin seeds, thinking about giving them another go. I plan to complain about my pumpkins again, haha! I'm also going to snip some tomato suckers and plant those, hoping they’ll keep producing until December.

Snipping those suckers really works well, I always get a great late harvest!

Same here with the pumpkin seeds! I always try them for that giant contest in town, even though the vine borers keep ruining my plans. Gotta love the struggle!
