Hey, fellow plant enthusiasts! I'm eager to learn more about gardening and would love to hear about the blogs you all find most useful. I'm interested in everything from vegetable gardening and houseplants to permaculture and rare ornamental plants—so share away! To kick things off, I've stumbled upon a few that I really enjoy: Plantora has some great beginner guides, Epic Gardening covers everything from hydroponics to easy backyard gardening, and The Spruce Gardening dives into both houseplants and outdoor gardens in a very accessible manner. What are some of your go-to blogs?

For videos, I highly recommend Jim Putnam on HortTube. He shares extensive content on what to plant outdoors and when to do various tasks in your flower beds. His style is engaging and super informative—definitely a must-watch!

Don’t forget about podcasts! 'You Bet Your Garden' on Spotify is really worth a listen. It’s a call-in show where he answers questions and focuses on a particular topic each week. Just be aware there's an older version on Spotify that hasn't had new episodes in a while. The newer one is fantastic and updates weekly!

Sounds interesting! I'll have to give it a listen.

I've checked out some Plantora blogs and they're fantastic for newcomers! I'm a big fan of The Spruce too. My personal top three would include The Spruce, Plantora, and Better Homes and Gardens—they have some amazing content!

Totally behind you on The Spruce! I've seen some good blogs from Plantora as well. I also really enjoy The Greg's blogs because they're incredibly detailed.

Yeah, I love detailed content too! The more info, the better!

I usually don’t follow blogs, but I rely on several plant care apps that provide useful care guides. They’ve been really handy for me!

Jeff Lowenfels writes a great column in the Anchorage Daily News, focusing on understanding how microbes work in gardening. A lot of it is Alaska-specific, but the insights are still valuable wherever you garden!
