I've been using my 20V string trimmer for about four years, but it just died on me. When I press the trigger, I hear a little click, but there's no power. I've already checked the handle and everything looks fine. I'm curious if other owners can share their long-term experiences with this model. Should I just buy another one, or look for something different for my trimming needs?

An issue I see with the 20V is how the motor is positioned—it's prone to overheating since it can suck up debris. I think the 60V design is better for longevity. After every use, I blow out the motor case with compressed air; it helps! It could be a good way to extend its life.
I had a 20V model that lasted only two years, but my 40V one has been going strong for eight! I'm currently on my second 20V, but when it dies, I'm switching to the 60V power head. Honestly, anything is better than going back to a gas-powered two-stroke!
I've had my 20V trimmer for about five years, and it's still working like a champ! Of course, my yard isn't huge, and I only use it from late spring through early fall. If it ever gives out, I'm definitely considering the 60V version with interchangeable attachments!
