I'm curious about the DeWalt cordless plunge router, particularly the DCW620 model. For those of you who have used it, how does it compare to the regular router models? Is it worth investing in, or does it fall short?

I’ve been using mine for a few months now and it's pretty impressive! It's got plenty of power, and the ergonomics are fantastic. Adjusting it is a breeze, and the dust collection works really well with the port positioned at the top. I initially thought the praise from YouTube reviewers was excessive, but they've proven to be spot on! I snagged it on sale and definitely feel like I got my money’s worth.
I absolutely love my cordless plunge router! Being cord-free is a game changer. It’s powerful, features an electric brake, and has an anti-rotation safety feature. It’s really well-built, and I use a 5ah Powerstack to maintain consistent power throughout my projects.
I've got the DCW620 and the compact DCW600, and I can confidently say the plunge router works just as well, if not better! It's more powerful and accepts 1/2 router bits, which is a huge advantage. The only downside is that the dust collection port clogs occasionally, and the top boot can come loose. For power, I recommend using the 8ah batteries since it's a bit power-hungry—compact ones might not cut it!
