I'm looking to replace my old Ryobi sander and considering getting a Milwaukee orbital sander since I've switched to their tool platform. I've heard mixed reviews about the balance with the battery pack and its dust collection capabilities. Can anyone share their experiences regarding battery life, how well it collects dust when using a shop vac, and overall feel in the hand? I typically use Cubitron sandpaper. If the Milwaukee doesn't seem like a good option, I'd also appreciate recommendations for good corded models as I'd rather not add another battery platform if possible.

Honestly, I've always stuck with corded sanders since I run them connected to a vacuum. Cordless just seems pointless if you're going to deal with dust anyway. Plus, the extra cost for battery power doesn't seem worth it.
If you're mostly using it in a workshop, I'd recommend sticking with corded units. In my experience, they perform better, especially when attached to dust collection systems. If you're not looking for top-of-the-line brands like Mirka or Festool, Bosch and Makita offer solid options that won't break the bank.
