What Battery-Powered Grow Lights Can Save My Plants During a Move?

So, here's the situation: My apartment's power is going to be off permanently for the next couple of weeks, and I'm moving soon. I have a bioactive terrarium for my crested gecko filled with plants I've cared for a long time, but they won't survive long without the artificial light I usually provide, especially since not much natural light comes in. I don't want to lose my plants or spend a lot on replacements during these tough times. Is there a temporary solution, like battery-powered grow lights that don't require plugging in? I'm based in France, so options available on Amazon would be great!

Honestly, two weeks without power won't completely kill your plants. But if you're worried, maybe try redirecting some natural light from an extra window? Just be careful not to blind your gecko with harsh light! Also, I have experience with battery-operated grow lights and they tend to drain batteries really fast. Have you thought about solar-powered lights instead? Not sure about the cost, but it could be a worthwhile investment!

True, you can redirect light but you'll need to keep it soft to avoid burning plants or disturbing any pets.

Yeah, you definitely want to find a way for diffused light. But just a heads up, the battery options can be tricky!

If you can place your terrarium near a window, that could help. But remember, even battery-operated lights might need a bit of charging from an outlet. The strength of those lights is usually not enough for plants unfortunately.

Maybe you can charge them at work and bring them home? It's a workaround but could help!

Check out these battery-operated grow lights from Home Depot! They might just do the trick for you. You could also consider getting a regular battery-operated desk lamp and swapping the bulb for a grow light bulb. It could give your plants the light they need without needing a plug!
