Hey everyone! I'm looking to kick off a side hustle using some older but still great-condition tools that I have. I'm hoping to get some suggestions on realistic projects I can tackle. Here are the tools I'm working with:
- Craftsman 10in table saw (older Max Dev. Series)
- Jet 6in jointer (the older blue version)
- Delta 13in planer
- Router table (though I'm limited on bits)
- A normal set of power tools and some clamps.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

Honestly, it really depends on your skills and experience, but with those tools, you could build just about anything! Just keep in mind that if you're short on time, starting a woodworking side hustle can be tough and competitive. Maybe try beginning it as a hobby to refine your skills?
With your toolset, the sky's the limit! You can make pretty much anything flat and square, but turned or scrolled items would require additional tools. If you're looking to sell, check Instagram or Pinterest to find current trending woodworking items. Just remember—you might need to compromise a bit on what you want to create to match what sells!
Thanks! Great advice. It's definitely better to know what clients want instead of ending up with a lot of unsold items that I love making!
You might want to consider making boxes—like keepsake boxes or any other type of storage box. They're pretty in demand and can be a good way to get started!

Experience and time are limited since I have young kids, but I enjoy it, and any extra cash is always a bonus!
