What Can I Do to Save My Dying Copper Spoon Plant?

I inherited this plant, which I believe is called 'copper spoons' – it's a type of succulent. Unfortunately, it was already struggling when I got it, and it seems to be getting worse pretty quickly. I'm not sure what steps I can take to help it recover, if there's anything I can do at this point. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like your copper spoon might be in rough shape, but don't lose hope just yet. One thing that could help is to remove it from the container and give its roots a good look-over. If you find any mushy or dead roots, cut those out. Repot it in new soil, and remember to go easy on the watering for a bit. You might still see some recovery, especially if that little shoot seems okay.

Honestly, it might be too late for your plant, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try! You could try everything you can to save it because you won't make it worse. If you notice any shoots, those could be signs of life still hanging on. Just be sure to give it fresh soil and really check those roots. Sometimes all it takes is a little TLC to bring a plant back to health! Good luck!

First off, sorry to hear about the plant! It's tough inheriting something that's already had a rough time. I'd recommend checking the care routine you've been following. Make sure you're not overwatering it, especially since it's been outside in Texas warmth. Best thing you could do now is gently remove it from its pot to inspect the roots. If you see any dead roots, trim those off, and then repot it in fresh soil. Water it lightly afterward and keep an eye on it for any changes.
