Hey everyone! So, my planned home extension got canceled unexpectedly, and now I have a bunch of materials just sitting under a tarp and starting to deteriorate. I'm looking for ideas on what I can do with everything. I've got some 2x6s in different lengths (24 pieces of 92 inches, 10 pieces of 10 feet, 10 pieces of 14 feet) and 11 sheets of 4x8 OSB boards, plus a few other random materials. I thought about making some shelves or maybe a firewood rack, or even a large shed, but I'm curious if there are any other options out there that I might not have thought of. Any suggestions?

One of the easiest solutions is to sell the materials. You could post them on platforms like Facebook Marketplace. Just remember to mention they’re in good condition and stored covered. It’s a great way to recoup some of your investment!
Hey, if you’re feeling adventurous, how about building a trebuchet? Just kidding, but it might be a fun project! Seriously though, building shelves is a good way to repurpose some of that wood without needing too many additional materials. It’s manageable and practical, especially if you lack storage space inside. But if you really can't use them, selling is a solid option too!
If you're decently skilled, you could consider making a shed. But keep in mind that a shed might require buying more materials to complete. A nice shelving system in your garage or pantry could also really help. If you can't find a use for the materials, definitely think about selling!

Yeah, I'm decent at DIY projects, so shelving and possibly a shed could work for me. But honestly, where I live is far from hardware stores, so that makes things tricky. Selling might be the best bet!
