I'm wondering if there's any practical use for diesel fuel that's around 4-5 years old. Is it still viable to use it in some way, or should I just dispose of it?

I’d just toss it in my truck and burn it. No need to waste it if it’s mostly still okay!
Here’s a unique tip: old diesel breaks down into a great fertilizer! Spray it on your lawn in the fall, and you'll see amazing results in the spring!
You could definitely still use it! Just filter it to remove any algae or impurities, and it should work fine in a diesel engine. If you don’t have one, mixing it with fresh diesel might be a good option too.
Hey, you can find someone who might need it for heating oil or even for kerosene. It’s worth asking around!
