What Can I Do With Wood Chips from My Planer?

I'm curious about what everyone does with the wood chips generated from using a planer. I really don't want to just toss them in the trash. Any suggestions?

You could burn them—great for a fire pit! I do that with mine sometimes, but I also know a Solo stove is perfect for it.

I was considering that too, especially with my Solo stove!

It really depends on what type of wood you've got. I use some in my chicken coop, mix others for mulch in my vegetable garden, and even use some for smoking food! Gotta maximize their use, right?

I really dislike the idea of tossing it, especially since most of my wood is pine.

Wood chips work wonders in the garden! I use them to soak up old paint and oil, or as ground cover around my fruit trees. Just keep in mind I might run out of trees to use them on soon!

I've been using them for that too, but I'm running low on trees as well!
