Hey everyone! I'm looking to expand my vegetable garden this year, and I'm trying to keep things organized. I just realized I have some 2-gallon fabric pots I bought at a yard sale, and I'm curious about what vegetables I can successfully grow in them for the whole season. I've thought about planting strawberries, radishes, and herbs since they seem to fit well. But I'm unsure about some other options like eggplant (either Millionaire or Black Beauty), cucumbers, zucchini, Sun Gold tomatoes, and sugar snap peas. Any advice would be appreciated!

I'd steer clear of tomatoes, cucumbers, and zucchini in those pots. They need more space than 2 gallons can provide. Eggplants and sugar snap peas should thrive, though! Smaller pepper varieties are also a great choice for that size.
You can grow just about anything in those pots except for potatoes. A 2-gallon pot gives plants plenty of soil to thrive, so don't worry too much about size. Most veggies will do just fine!
Thanks for the advice! I was skeptical about the tomatoes too but my wife thought it might work. I might use the 2-gallon pots to start them off and then transplant them later. Also, I’m considering zucchini to dodge those nasty vine borers!
