I have a backyard mostly covered in concrete, including a swimming pool and a raised garden bed. There are numerous cracks in the concrete, but not much soil present. I'm wondering if there's anything I could plant in those cracks. Given that I'm in Southern California and the weather gets pretty hot, I was thinking about trying some succulents. What are your suggestions?

You absolutely can grow plants in the cracks of your concrete! I actually stumbled upon a video recently where someone had a thriving vegetable garden all set up in the cracks of her patio. It's definitely possible if you choose the right plants!
