I'm looking for options to use in a no-dig gardening method, but I don't have access to compost and transporting it is not feasible for me. The minimum delivery for compost is way more than I need (5 cubic yards), so I'm wondering if regular bagged garden soil would work as a substitute. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Totally! You can definitely use bagged garden soil as an alternative. Just keep in mind that it usually contains topsoil and some compost, but might not be as nutrient-rich as straight compost. If you’re able to get it, it's a good option! Also, consider looking into setting up a worm bin for some long-term composting—it's a fun project too!
