I'm working on caulking the area where the stone in my foyer meets the flooring. The flooring is a faded black and the stone is grey, while my baseboard and quarter round trim are white. Should I go with white caulk to match the trim or a color that matches the floor, like black or grey? I'm leaning towards white, but I worry it might create too much contrast. What do you all think?

I agree, white is generally the best choice for caulk to match the trim. It brings everything together nicely. A photo would help a lot to visualize, but in general, white is a safer bet! Just make sure to apply it neatly so it doesn’t look messy later.
Be cautious with white caulk! Getting a perfectly straight line is key. If not, it can look really bad if it’s smeared. Have you thought about going for clear caulk instead? That could give you a clean finish without the worry of color clashing.
I'd definitely recommend going with white caulk. It usually coordinates better with trim and helps to give a clean look. Plus, trying to find a perfect match for grey or black can be a real challenge, and you don’t want to end up with a mismatch on the floor. Just be careful while applying it to keep those lines straight!
