I'm moving into a new house and need some advice on how to handle one of the rooms that has solid bubble gum pink walls. This is my daughter's room, and since I don't want to repaint everything just yet, I thought adding an accent wall might be a good way to change things up. I'm considering a mid-range grey—somewhere between dark and pastel—but I'm unsure if that's the best choice. I want a color that she can grow into over the years until we decide to repaint the whole room. The main reason I'm not painting the entire room is that it's just me doing the work, and to be honest, I'm not a fan of painting! Any suggestions?

Have you thought about using a sponge technique with a complementary color to the bubble gum pink? Get some sponge and lightly dab the complementary color onto one wall. It could add some interesting texture without being overwhelming!
You might want to consider using a warm sunset color palette! Think about shades of tangerine, lilac, and deep yellows. These colors can create a cozy vibe that will still feel youthful as she grows. You could even add a painted accent feature, like a big golden orange circle or arc on the wall behind her bed to mimic a setting sun. And don’t forget about your lighting; warm lamps instead of cool white bulbs can really enhance that sunset feel!
That sounds like a fantastic idea! The sunset theme would be really vibrant and uplifting, plus it can evolve with her!
Peel and stick wallpaper could be a great option here! There are tons of patterns available. You could go for something black and white, floral, or even geometric. It can easily transform the space and is also removable when it’s time for a change.
I love that idea! It’s such an easy way to add a big design change without a lot of commitment.

That's a cool idea! It sounds like it could give a really unique look and be fun to do.
