What Could Be Causing These Spots on My Golden Pothos?

I've noticed some spots appearing on my golden pothos, and I'm a bit worried about what they might mean. I recently repotted it from a pot with only one drain hole, and the previous soil was really dense and didn't drain well. Now, I'm using a standard indoor potting mix combined with about 30% perlite. Any thoughts on what could be causing these spots? Is it a nutrient deficiency, root rot, or something else?

I understand your frustration with diagnosing plant issues. It might be a fungal problem too. I've been to this stage myself, and it’s tough since there's not a lot of solid guidance out there. You might want to look into soil treatments like cinnamon or foliar sprays with baking soda or copper. Just do your research and take your time with treatments!

It sounds like it could be a calcium deficiency. I'd recommend starting with a small amount of plant fertilizer designed for houseplants. However, don't rule out the possibility of a fungus either. If you're seeing significant issues, maybe consider cutting off the affected leaves and checking the humidity—certain plants have specific needs!

Those spots might be the result of root rot, but they could also indicate a nutrient deficiency. Since you repotted, it’s crucial to use a good aerated soil for pothos. Make sure your new mix has good drainage to help those roots breathe! How's your soil looking now?
