I recently noticed a long vertical crack running down a partition wall in my bathroom, which we renovated about a year ago. It's strange because the crack seems to be raised on one side, almost like it's been struck with something. I'm curious if anyone has any insights into what might have caused this issue. I've included some photos for reference.

Could it be a toddler with a hammer? Just kidding! But seriously, it does look like it might have been impacted somehow. Someone might've hit it, but they'd probably never own up to it. Just keep an eye on it and maybe get a professional opinion!
I’ve seen similar issues crop up, especially in new constructions. This could be a shrink crack caused by the drywall compound or lumber drying out behind the tiles. Sometimes when that happens, it pulls the tiles tight, resulting in cracks. It looks like it's at a corner where the bead was applied, which means extra mud there could have exacerbated the shrinkage. If you replace the tiles now, you might avoid future issues!
That definitely looks like a pronounced crack! From what I can tell, since the crack continues across multiple tiles, it might not just be an isolated defect. It could be a sign that the house has shifted a bit, which isn't uncommon. It's worth getting it checked out to prevent further damage!
