I'm dealing with what looks like a mess forming in the lower part of a window in a brick home that's half below ground level. There's a little gap in the caulk, and I've noticed this debris accumulating over time. I've spotted a few ants nearby but not many. Does anyone have ideas on what might be causing this? Here's the link to a picture of the mess: https://imgur.com/a/EKkfx4x

I just made a surprising discovery! There’s a mess at the corner base of the wall by the window, right behind a couch. I think one of the round bits is a pill, but there's this fluffy mound too. What do you think it could be? Here's a picture: https://imgur.com/a/mZvMeMd
Just a heads-up, termites usually make noticeable tunnels along surfaces, so if you're not seeing those, it's likely not them. However, some of this could also be from cockroaches. I’d recommend setting up some glue traps nearby to catch what's really going on. Alternatively, calling pest control might give you peace of mind!
From what I'm seeing, this does look a lot like debris from carpenter ants. If you check around the area, you might find more signs. Just be cautious about any further mess!
It seems like it could be carpenter ants leaving behind debris. They're known for making a bit of a mess, especially if there’s any wood nearby that might be decaying. Keep an eye out for more ants to be sure!

Definitely keep an eye out for spiders in the area; they might be contributing to the mess too!
