Hey everyone! I'm curious about battery-operated nail guns, especially from the perspective of professional construction workers and general contractors. What are your thoughts on their performance, reliability, and overall effectiveness compared to traditional pneumatic nailers?

Overall, battery-powered nailers are pretty handy for smaller projects and repairs, but if you're dealing with a lot of nailing every day, you might want to opt for compressed air tools. I’ve had good luck with my second-hand DeWalt cordless framing nailer, but I wouldn’t trust it for major jobs.
I've heard mixed reviews. The newer DeWalt framing nailers are decent, but they don’t compare well for bigger jobs. I personally use Milwaukee nailers, and they’ve been fantastic for my trim carpentry work. For anything extensive, I stick with my pneumatic ones due to their power and reliability.
I’ve had a great experience with the 18-gauge DeWalt; perfect for tongue and groove projects!
Most framers I know recommend steering clear of DeWalt nail guns and suggest sticking with brands like Milwaukee, Metabo, or Paslode. The newer DeWalt models haven't improved much, and that annoying flywheel takes a moment to spin up before you can use it, which can be frustrating when you're in a hurry.
1 second isn't a problem for me, it hasn't slowed me down!

Just depends on what you're using it for! They’re super convenient for quick fixes without dragging hoses around.
