I went to the nursery intending to buy just one banana pepper plant, but somehow I ended up with seven! I know I should've been more upfront, but the counter guy ended up giving me an extra pack. Now I'm overwhelmed because I don't have the garden space for seven big pots. I typically grow in containers, but I only have a few available: a 3.5-gallon bucket, a 12-inch planter, and a four-gallon planter. Can I plant multiple pepper plants in these containers? For example, would it be okay to put two or three in the four-gallon pot? I'm really confused about what to do here!

You can definitely group pepper plants together! I’ve got three Peter peppers thriving in a 16-inch pot, and it’s working out great. As long as you keep them well-watered and fertilized, they'll be fine. Just make sure they have enough space to spread their roots a bit, and you'll get a decent harvest!
Why not just give some of those plants away? Friends and family usually love getting extras. I’ve found that if you’re really short on space, you can also try soil bag gardening. You could set up a couple of bags behind your planters and plant some peppers there too. Just poke some holes and you can even throw in some basil or flowers for a little extra color.

Thanks for the tips!! I hadn’t heard of soil bag gardening before, so I’ll definitely check that out!
