What Do I Need to Set Up My Free Solar Panels?

I just scored some free solar panels and I'm trying to figure out what else I need to get them up and running. I'm not exactly sure what I'll use them for, but I do have a shed that could use some lighting. What options do I have for utilizing these panels?

To get those panels working, you'll definitely need some light, and I’d recommend sunlight since it’s free and pretty accessible. But if you're in a place that’s often cloudy like up north, that might be trickier!

Yeah, I totally understand. It’s tough when the weather is mostly overcast. Maybe consider some portable lights that can handle low light conditions?

In addition to light, you'll need some mounting brackets to install them, as well as a solar charge controller, connecting wires, and battery storage for when the sun isn't out. You might find those pretty straightforward to set up!

For controllers, there are several good options out there! Just make sure to get one that's compatible with your panels.
