What do you think of my bathroom light setup?

Hey everyone! I'm currently renovating my primary bathroom and have drafted a lighting layout based on some advice I've come across. I've included detailed descriptions of where I'm thinking of placing lights:
- **Red**: two 2" (or 4") recessed canless downlights
- **Blue**: sconces
- **Pink**: a vent fan.

I'm debating whether to add an overhead light above the toilet and if I'm correct in avoiding a light directly over the vanity. Any feedback on this would be super helpful! You can check out the layout here: [this link](https://imgur.com/a/uEtb1ck). Thanks!

Honestly, I've never heard of anyone saying there’s too much light in a bathroom! I think adding one over the vanity with its own switch could be a game changer. It’s worth considering!

I don't think you need an additional light over the toilet since you've got enough illumination already. As for the vanity, those sconces should give you plenty of light, so a ceiling fixture there isn't critical. It sounds like you're on the right track!

Yeah, unless you're aiming for a dramatic pooping ambiance! But seriously, your sconces will shine enough without an overhead light.

Looks great overall! I've always liked having separate switches for the shower light and fan timer. It just makes sense for convenience. Just keep in mind how you plan your fixtures for the space. Lighting is key, especially in a bathroom!

What kind of barrier are you planning for the tub area? A glass door or curtain? I've found a can light over the shower can really help see well, especially when trying to clean up. Your layout seems solid, but if you’re struggling to see at certain angles, consider a glass door to maximize light.

With that many canless LEDs, you're definitely set for light. A well-placed 4" canless can brighten a room way more than older setups. Just be aware that too much light might overpower your sconces, so adjust as needed. It should look amazing!
