Hey everyone! I'm looking to drill a hole in my kitchen sink for a water filtration tap. I believe the sink is either aluminum or stainless steel (it's a Kohler brand), but I'm not sure if there's granite underneath it. What type of drill bit should I use for this? Any tips would be appreciated!

I recommend using a small hole saw if your sink is just a basic aluminum drop-in model and not attached to any granite. It's usually pretty effective for these projects!
Are you sure about the aluminum? I haven't seen many aluminum sinks—I usually see stainless steel. Just a thought!
You'll want to use a step drill bit for this kind of job. It's great because it can handle various hole sizes, but make sure you measure properly first so you don't accidentally mess up your sink!
Yeah, definitely use a step drill! Just wrap some tape around it to mark how deep you need to go.

You make a good point! I might need to double-check. Thanks for the heads up!
