I've been gaining experience in landscaping and have used small tillers and skid-steer hydraulic tillers to make dirt removal easier. However, I struggle with removing just half an inch of dirt, especially where there's grass. Tillers tend to dig too deep, creating more clumps than I'd like. I'm looking for a machine that can finely powder dirt, roots included, and accurately shave off an inch or two without causing too much disruption. There are times when I need to trim high spots without messing up the surrounding area. If anyone has suggestions for this type of equipment, I'd appreciate it!

A Harley rake might be what you’re looking for! It's designed to level and break up compacted soil without going too deep, so it can work well for what you're trying to accomplish.

Wow, thank you for the suggestion!
