What Fruit Trees Can Thrive Outdoors in the UK?

Has anyone had success growing fruit trees outside in the UK? I'm looking for options beyond the usual apples and pears. I've got a lemon tree, but my partner isn't keen on bringing it indoors during winter. I'm researching more hardy varieties like kiwis and pomegranates. I also already have quite a few berry plants.

Greengages seem to thrive too. I can vouch for that; I have one and it produces an insane amount of fruit every year!

That's awesome! I might have to look into getting one of those.

Figs are a fantastic choice! The Brown Turkey variety can stay outside year round and has been pretty reliable for me.

I've got a damson tree in my back garden, and it has been doing really well! It's a great option if you're looking for something a bit different.
