What Hinges Work Best for A Small Box Made from 1/4″ Thick Hardwood?

I'm looking for hinge suggestions for a small box I'm building using hardwood that's just over 1/4" thick. I'm having a tough time finding something suitable, and I can't use different materials for this project. Any advice would be appreciated!

I’ve had success using thin leather to create a sort of piano hinge when working with materials this thin. A good piece of leather from a shop like Tandy can look really nice. Just glue it on with epoxy or contact cement. It adds a unique touch too!

That’s really creative! Do you have any pictures of your work with this method? It’d be great to see it in action!

For reference, here's the box I'm working on if that helps: https://preview.redd.it/y4fr9tjzvr5f1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c5276151718d6247a4ddb719194bfd5e8e8ea6cb

You might want to check out this site. I bought some hardware from them once, and everything went smoothly: https://www.smallboxhardware.com/. They have a variety of options that could work.

You should check out micro hinges! They’re perfect for small projects like dollhouses and mini crafts. They come in various styles and sizes, so you should be able to find something that fits your needs perfectly.
