Hey everyone! My neighbor is giving away some free doors on Facebook, and I could really use some new ones for my flat. I've got to cut off a significant chunk—around 7-8cm off the width—to make them fit. I'm a bit worried about going past the wooden edge when I trim them. Do you think these doors will be fine after I make those cuts? Here are the pics: https://imgur.com/gallery/PLsiN9J

I'm not sure about the type of door just from the description, but trimming off 7-8cm might be a bit tricky. If the door has a solid core, it should hold up alright even after cutting. Just make sure to sand down the edges afterward to avoid any splinters. Wish I could see the pics to give a better opinion!
I couldn't access the pics either, but I’d suggest checking if the doors are solid or hollow first. Solid doors are usually more forgiving with trims. And don’t forget to double-check the hinges and handles before cutting!

Yeah, trimming can be a pain, especially if you hit the core. If it's hollow, you might end up with a weak point, so keep that in mind!
