What Kind of Light Does a Snake Plant Need?

I'm thinking of adding a snake plant to my collection and I'm curious about the lighting conditions they thrive in. Can someone share what kind of light these plants need?

Snake plants prefer bright, indirect light, but the great news is they can handle lower light levels too. They won't suffer like many other plants do in dim conditions, but they might not grow much either. Mine gets direct sunlight during the summer after I gradually introduced it to that level of light, but in winter, it goes anywhere in my house and just takes a break. It's been thriving for 5 years now and has produced several pups!

Finally, someone who knows how to care for these! Just a heads up, while they can make it through periods without water, giving them a little attention with regular watering goes a long way.
