I ended up with a stash of lumber a few years back from a friend whose grandfather was moving into assisted living. Among the items I got was some cherry wood that measures 24 1/8" x 83 7/8" x 3/4". I've looked around online but haven't had any luck figuring out if there's a specific term for this type of lumber. Can anyone help me out?

It sounds like you’ve got a bunch of cherry boards! The size you mentioned doesn’t have a super specific name, just a standard lumber dimension. If you're looking for a specific term, most might just refer to it as lumber or boards. So, you’re probably looking at flat stock that can be used for various projects. It’s nice stuff!
Yep, definitely sounds like slabs of cherry wood to me! Generally, if they’re cut as you described, they would just be referred to as cherry slabs. Good luck with whatever you plan to use them for!
