I recently moved into a new place with a garden that already has some established plants. While the builders were putting up a shed, they had to cut back a certain plant to access the area, and now I'm concerned about whether this will harm the plant or affect its growth in any way. Any tips or advice would be appreciated!

I think it might actually be a rhododendron. Those are quite tough plants, so it should be okay after being cut back! Just keep an eye on its recovery.
Glad to hear you're feeling hopeful! Just give it some time and watch for new growth. Plants are resilient, especially if they get the right care!
It sounds like you have a Choisya! Generally, they bounce back pretty well, but keep in mind they can be a bit short-lived and sometimes die unexpectedly. On the bright side, they grow back quickly, so if you need a replacement, they’re easy to find at garden centers!
