Hi everyone! I recently bought a succulent from Home Depot but didn't get a name with it. I've never cared for one before, so this is all new to me. I promptly transferred it into a cactus mix, and within just a week, it has doubled in size and even sprouted this little shoot! I'm curious about what type of succulent it is, what this new shoot means, and if I should try cutting it for propagation. I live in Phoenix where it's already over 100°F, but it seems to thrive in the sun. Right now, it's on my east-facing windowsill getting about 5 hours of filtered light. Any tips to keep this plant happy and thriving would be greatly appreciated!

As for that little shoot, it could be a flower shoot, which is always exciting. If it starts to grow more, you can try propagating it, but usually, it's best to let it grow a bit bigger before taking any cuttings.
