What Makes You Decide to Bring a Plant Home?

I'm really curious about the thought process behind choosing to buy a plant. What pushes you over the edge? Is it the plant's appearance, the price tag, or maybe your confidence in caring for it? Personally, I often find myself admiring plants but end up only picking a few. What gets you in the mindset of thinking, 'Yes, this one definitely has to come home with me'?

Honestly, for me, it's just my total lack of impulse control! If I see a plant I like, I'm usually ready to take it home without a second thought.

For me, it was when I got a huge jade plant from my parents' friends. I thought, 'I know how to care for this one, and it's been thriving for so long. I can't let it go!'

That's so cool! How's that jade plant doing these days?
