What Material Should I Use for a DIY Portable Shower Curtain?

I'm looking for a large piece of fabric or material that resembles a shower curtain for a DIY portable change room while camping. I'm not exactly sure what it's called, but I'm thinking it might be some kind of construction material or a liner. Can anyone help me figure out what to search for?

Consider using a tarp! It's a great waterproof option, but keep in mind it’s not as flexible as a shower curtain. Definitely worth checking out anyway!

I didn't think about that! I'll take a look, thanks!

I’d suggest getting 2-3 shower curtains and some curtain rings. Build a square frame with white PVC pipes to hang it up from a tree or use legs. That's how my dad did it when I was a kid! Also, search for Oilcloth fabric by the yard or waterproof canvas—it works great for these kinds of projects!

Thanks for that! I was thinking of using the car as the frame, like between the passenger doors so I can change the kids inside.

You might want to check out the dollar store! They often have shower curtain liners and rings. You could combine that with a hula hoop to create a portable shower stall. Just hang it from a tree or something!

Hula hoop is such a clever idea! It would make it super easy to hang up!

I need something a bit wider since I'll be changing my kids too, but I appreciate the suggestion!
