Hey everyone! I'm fairly new to being a plant mom—about 5 months in—and I'm totally obsessed with it! So far, I've managed to collect a variety of plants: 3 monsteras, 3 philodendrons, an anthurium, 2 alocasias, a begonia, 2 hoyas, a peperomia, a pothos, a jungle cactus, a maranta, and around 12 succulents. I also have some randoms like a purple waffle plant, spider plant, money tree, and cyclamens. I'm looking to expand my collection but feel a bit overwhelmed by all the options. I'm aiming for a well-rounded mix for my indoor setup. Any suggestions on what I should add next? Thanks for your help! ?

You could also look at Stromanthe or Silver Squill. They’re lovely options to liven up your indoor garden!
How about trying a Birds of Paradise or a Fiddle Leaf Fig? Both are beautiful! The Areca Palm Tree is also a good choice, and colorful Aglaonema can bring some vibrant color to your collection too!
Consider adding some palms or cycads! They might cost a bit more upfront, but watching them grow over the years is super rewarding. Here are some to check out:
* Cat palm
* Bamboo palm (beginner-friendly)
* Rhapis palm
* Pygmy date palm (also works well outdoors)
* Kentia palm (a bit pricey but elegant)
* Fishtail palm (my fave but hard to find)
* Sago palm (a unique cycad)
* Cardboard palm (another cycad)
They really add a nice vertical touch to your space!
Thank you so much for your response! I hadn't even thought about palms (also had no idea what a cycad is) - I'll definitely have to add one to my list!
I really think you should go for a Ficus Tineke! Its leaves are absolutely stunning, and it’s not too tricky to take care of. Definitely a great addition to your collection!
Just looked it up--it is beautiful!! Glad to know they're easy going. Thanks so much for the suggestion!
Maybe give orchids a shot? They can be a bit intimidating, but after working with plants for a bit, you might just nail it this time!
Ooh yes. I'm intimidated by them bc I used to kill them back before I became plant obsessed, but maybe it's time to try again!

Oooh great suggestions! I'm scared to try the FLF haha ?
